Medical Supplies to Wuhan

Donation protected
*As of 1/28 there have been 106 fatalities in China. There are over 4500 infected in over a dozen countries included the United States, Australia, Canada, and France.*

Hello friends, some of you may have heard that the City of Wuhan, China was struck with a novel Coronavirus strain. This is a worldwide humanitarian crisis, with every passing day resulting in more and more spread of the disease. There are five confirmed cases in the U.S. with many more being monitored. In China, the heart of the epidemic, there are thousands of people infected and over 50 million more travel-restricted, Wuhan's healthcare system is undergoing great strain and struggling to treat those in need.

Healthcare providers and citizens alike are running out of supplies to protect themselves from the airborne virus. Over 20 hospitals have requested assistance, and a lack of proper resources and protection will only spur on the virus. Good health is one of the most important things in life and these providers are risking their health to help others.

Foreign aid is entering the country slowly due to a variety of factors, but that doesn't mean that we can't help! Providers are unable to protect themselves and even a surgeon has already passed from the virus. This is due to being forced to use protective equipment below industry standards. Their conditions are grueling, eating only nonperishable foods and unable to shower or have a break for the rest room.

All contributions are greatly appreciated, thank you. We will buy masks, surgical gowns, and other protective clothing that hospitals are requesting. We plan to route them into China through Professor Guo at the Mayo Clinic. He has set up a nonprofit that has established channels to transport materials directly to Wuhan Hospital. As an individual, what is just as important is raising honest awareness about this epidemic. Untrue rumors and intimidating misinformation can spread faster than a virus and hurts public perception and causes general fear. Thank you for taking the time to join our cause!

Every passing day counts, please take the time to spread the word about this worldwide pandemic.
