Hello, my name is Celia and I am a rising senior at the University of Notre Dame. This past summer, I had the privilege of traveling to Livingstone, Zambia with African Impact to work on their public health project. In this project, we visit patients in their homes for minor injuries or illnesses, blood pressure checks, and more. In doing so, limited supplies were constantly an obstacle. We often had to cut bandages and ration creams to be able to provide for the most amount of people.
This summer, I am returning to Livingstone to work on the same project. While I have been working to put together burn care kits to better prepare for one of the major issues that I saw, there are many other injuries and illnesses that we will still be unprepared to treat with just these kits. Thus, I am fundraising to provide other items on the project's official wishlist. Your donation will go directly towards purchasing these supplies and the fees that come with bringing them into Zambia. If you prefer to donate a specific item, I have also compiled an Amazon wishlist (https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/EM1LDIZ174SY?ref_=wl_share)
Even the simplest supplies, things that we take for granted here, can mean the difference between proper healing and continued ailment, so every donation, no matter the size, brings hope and healing. Thank you for believing in this mission and helping us to deliver the best care to just some of the many communities who need it.
