Friends and Family I am reaching out to you for something that has happened to me, changing my life. I have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes for 14 years. Everything was okay, however I have contracted a flesh-eating bacteria called Necrotizing-Fascitis in September of this year. This bacteria ended up giving an amputation in my left leg going above the knee. I have filed for SSI, however the process is long which will result in me not receiving any help needed for another few months (5-6). I am asking for any help that is available. This will allow me to cover any financial responsibility that I have for the time being ( ex: household, medical). I am hoping to go back to work part time when fully recovered if possible.
