Dear Friends:
I am writing on behalf of my friend and camp neighbor, Ed Dixon.
Ed has been partnered for the last nine years with his service dog, Cinder, who sadly is starting to show signs of aging and is now must retire. Ed was able to work with Canine Partners for Life (k9forlife.org) and has been matched with a new dog, Rayne, and will begin training with her on June 21, 2021.
Raising and training a service dog costs about $30,000 for the first two years to prepare the dogs for their eventual match. Canine Partners for Life as a 501(c)3 is asking Ed to raise through donations a good faith donation ranging between $1000-$3000 dollars based on Ed’s fixed income.
The goal for this campaign is $3,000. Fortunately, we have an Angel Donor who will match your contributions up to $1,500! Your contributions will be used for the good faith donation, future care, supplies, feeding and vet expenses for Rayne.
Ed has multiple disabilities and his program certified, task trained dog will help him by picking up items, carrying things, retrieval of items and remind him to take his medications so that he can continue to live independently and mange his issues with fatigue.
Deadline for donations and supplies is June 13th, 2021.
If you want to donate to Rayne’s toy or pet supply gift fund, consider sending an e-gift card in any amount from chewy.com and can be sent directly to: [email redacted].
Ed would never ask for himself, so I am asking for him.
Thanks in advance for your generosity!
Kenn
