Medical Savings and Bills

Hi! My name is Tierney Brinkman. I'm a mother of two very lively little boys, and I’m from New Orleans, Louisiana. In November of 2022, my husband was laid off from his job. Then, in December, I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. I'm stage 4. Though it is not aggressive, I have already gone through lots of testing, and will have some form of chemotherapy. Already, between December and January, I've accrued over $2000 in medical costs. With insurance, we're still looking at anywhere between 10-20 thousand dollars in costs for chemo. I'm a highschool teacher in Louisiana, and since November our family of 4 has had to live off my measley salary. Our kids tuition is $1600 a month. Plus, add added expenses, there's our mortgage, utilities, insurance, car note, etc...
After months of constant searching and interviewing, Wayne FINALLY found another job. He's a software engineer, and the Facebook and Twitter layoffs had a profound effect throughout the Tech industry. However, we after tapped out. We went through most of savings, and need to start a medical savings account and get back on our feet.
We've had a tough go of it the last 2 years. I suffered a traumatic brain injury and subsequent neck injury in July and December of 2021 respectively. I'm still in physical and occupational therapy for these injuries, as well as dealing with the symptoms of lymphoma. We've been through a lot as a family, and we're ready to tackle this next thing together. We just need a little help. I have an endoscopy tomorrow, but, before they even do the procedure, I have to pay $350.
We appreciate anything you can give. We just need to get back in our feet, and have a savings for periodic chemo started (my lymphoma is incurable, and will need to be fought using chemotherapy treatment, when necessary, for the rest of my life).
We were too proud to ask before. But, what's the use in pride when life is what matters most?
Thank you. We love you.
