Medical Relief and Recovery for Larry McKurtis

Our beloved Larry McKurtis is currently fighting a tough battle to save his life. Since 11/6/23, he has been facing complications related to a pulmonary embolism that caused his heart to go into cardiac arrest. He is currently on life support and is receiving the best intensive care with an extraordinary medical team in San Francisco. His wife Kelly will be with him during this time.

Larry is no stranger to testing his physical and mental limits to the brink. His accomplishments are many, though he’d be the last to admit it. Whether it be a solo ride on his bicycle across the length of the United States, per the documentary For Thousands of Miles by Mike Ambs, or a 100-day ride from California through Mexico, Larry is no stranger to an uphill battle.

Every day has brought minor, but hopeful, signs of progress related to Larry’s heart, lungs and kidneys. This crowdfund is a small effort to help alleviate the financial impacts of Larry’s health condition, and may help support Larry’s medical bills, time away from work, and related costs during this time of crisis.
