Hello everyone,

On April 29th, 2023 Jose and Marybel Bourne welcomed a beautiful baby girl into this world. Mariah Bourne was born at 3:47 pm, through a very traumatic delivery.

Unfortunately, she was stuck in the birth canal and was without oxygen for approximately 14 minutes. After doctors finally were able to resuscitate her, she was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Orange County, CA, where she has been ever since.

Mariah has fought and overcome so much in her short life this far. She’s learned to breathe without a ventilator, experienced seizures, and is still learning to feed on her own without a feeding tube. Her MRI scans have shown she does not have neurological damage from her time without oxygen but is currently healing from a broken clavicle, a result of the way she was handled by doctors during delivery.

Mariah is a beautiful miracle. Her mom and dad have prayed for the gift of children for years. As you can imagine, this has been a very difficult time for them to see their baby girl in such a fragile state. They have had to drive almost 2 hours each way to be able to see their baby every day, some days having to spend nights at the hospital so they aren’t far from Mariah.

Our family is coming together to ask for help on their behalf, to help with medical expenses and expenses related to their situation. We thank everyone who has reached out and prayed for Jose, Marybel, and Mariah. Any help is appreciated. Please continue to keep baby Mariah in your thoughts. We hope she can come home soon.
