Hi, my name is Gary Chapman, retired Meridian Ice Hockey Coach and friend to Greg/Lisa Corrie and family. All proceeds will go to Greg and Lisa.

Greg Corrie was in an accident on April 25th when he was hit by a car on Cherry Lane in Meridian while removing debris from the road to make sure other drivers were safe. He was resuscitated on scene and taken to St. Alphonsus where he was listed in critical condition for the first 9 days.  He has finally had feeding tubes removed and was transferred from ICU.

Greg has serious injuries which include a brain injury, brain bleed, injuries and to his abdomen and 12 broken ribs. He remains hospitalized since the accident. Because of the swelling, incredible pain and unstable vital signs, he is heavily medicated.

Doctors said he fortunate to have survived. We are still unsure of the full extent of his injuries to his brain and body. Eventually, they will assess his hip and lower body pain. In any case, Greg has a long road to recovery ahead and the expenses are already astronomical.

Those that know Greg know his heart, his passion for supporting Boise State, the hockey community, how hard of a worker he is, and how he gives the shirt off his back to help fellow humans in need. He was the first to support my sister-in-law in a BIG way with funeral costs after we lost our niece. I’m sure there are countless other stories like this that he never speaks of.

Now Greg and Lisa need community support. Lisa, Christina (daughter), Jeff (son) and Jeri (mom) have been overwhelmed by the sheer number of people that have reached out and offered their support during this difficult time.
