Medical Recovery for our Mom Alfe

Aloha, my name is John and I am one of the siblings fundraising for our beloved mother in the maroon top on the right side of the picture. Please know that all donations will be contributed to her medical bills and expenses we have no amount of knowing exactly how much it'll cost down the road. We have faith and prayers that our community of loving people will bless her as well as continue to pray for her moving forward.

Our mother was on vacation and just arrived in Las Vegas when she got admitted to the hospital there on 3/5/23 for her 3rd stroke. Shortly after, the majority of the family made arrangements to be there to support her as she got her surgery for blood clots in the brain. It's very difficult for our family because we have no close family in Las Vegas and we all currently live in Hawaii. So it would be challenging to support her physically and mentally. We are trying to bring her back here to Hawaii so she can get our full support but can't yet until the Doctor says she is okay to fly back. She is unable to speak at the moment and is paralyzed to move the right side of her body. There would be times when she would look at me for a couple of seconds but that's all the intimate moments I would have with her as well as her squeezing my hand with her left hand. I know she's trying very hard to stay strong for us because we know her as a mother who never gives up and always shows love whenever we needed her.

After a week, our family returned home, except for myself, where I continued to stay with Mom to watch over her and assist in her recovery. On 3/30, it was collectively decided by my family and me that it was in our best interest to return home for work and take care of financial matters as well til Mom gets better to fly her back.

Mother loves flowers; even while in her hospital bed, I would hold a flower petal in front of her and she would extend and open her hand with the little strength she got to softly grab it and gently caress the flower petal. If there were extra flowers at her job she would always get extra and go out of her way to get them and share them with her loved ones. She was also the nurturing type to always think about others and be there for you if you needed someone to talk to. Our mom likes to talk and laugh a lot so it hurts to not be able to communicate with her for so long but we all know that it's in God's hands.

We are raising funds for any unexpected expenses that may arise during her recovery. Let's continue to pray for Love, Healing, Wealth, and Spirit to overflow into her body so we will able to experience her essence again. We are extremely grateful beyond words for your consideration of donating to our beloved mother.
