Funeral Expenses for Deserai Hogg

Update: It is with our deepest condolences for Justin and his boys to say Desi passed away this evening. We still need to continue to help raise money so they can lay their wife and momma to rest so we are going to go ahead and leave this fundraiser up for funeral expenses.

Hi, my name is Ashley. I am fundraising to help Justin Hogg try to raise a little money during a very important and emotional time of need in his and his family’s life. Justin is a coworker of my husband Thomas. 3 years ago his wife Deserai Hogg was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer and has fought a very long and hard fight. However, after constantly being back and forth in the hospital fighting this cancer, and having tumors pop up throughout other places in her body, over New Years Eve she took a turn for the worst. She is in the ICU at Houston HCA Downtown, and over New Years Eve weekend she flatlined twice and is now in a medically induced coma on a ventilator. She now has a tumor in one of her lungs. Justin has been spoken with by the ICU team of doctors, and they explained that the pulmonary interventionist has searched all angles to try to come up with a solution to help Desi, but that at this point there is nothing else they can do to help her, the cancer is too far gone and too widespread. The doctors plan at this time is to try to at least get her strong enough to be able to get her off of the ventilator and bring her out of the medically induced coma within a few days, if at all possible, so that she can go home and spend her last few final days with her husband,her children, her grand baby and the rest of her family. If they are not able to achieve this plan, they will then at that point recommend that all family and friends come to the hospital to say their final goodbyes.

Justin and Desi have four children. Two of which are still young, 12 and 10 years old. As well as having a grand baby who is around a year and a half.

Due to this horrible situation, Justin is out of work until further notice, while he is having to juggle taking care of their two young children and also being with his wife as much as possible with her final days approaching, so expenses are piling up, on top of the fact he will have to be able to do a funeral for his wife and lay her to rest soon.

I know in this economy times are tough for a lot of people but if you are at all able to and find it in your heart to donate to help this hardworking man who will soon be a single father, even if it is just $1 or $5 it would be very much appreciated by him and many others who love Desi and are hurting badly right now. If you are not able to monetarily donate, if you can send up prayers, good thoughts or whatever it is you do for Justin, their children and the rest of their family, those are very much appreciated also because they really need them right now.
