As you all know Lesley Been battling a cancer diagnosis; she started oral chemo therapy on her birthday April 6th. Which She will do this for the next 2 1/2 years. We’ve shared how It’s taking a toll on her body. She’s lost quite a bit of weight which was known to happen. The nausea is pure hell!!! Her stomach takes a beating from allot of vomiting; it’s hard for her to keep things down. Small portions is what we do for her. Some days she doesn’t want to eat it’s that bad. We had a visit with the oncologist yesterday November 29; she is happy with how far Les has come she would like for her to have a nutritionist as well as someone to help her build muscle being she’s lost allot of muscle mass from chemo. She has come along way. The results from labs show everything’s working according to planned. Kidneys, liver, everything looks good. anemia is still an issue though so there in need of more supplements for that. She needs all the supplements she can get to continue to keep her strong. Brandon stated She needs to build allot of muscle chemo has taken away. Please keep those prayers coming. We want her to stay strong to fight everything like she’s done and continues to do. Her immune system is a priority. Here is a breakdown of the form of chemo they have her taking on a daily basis. it is 300 mg of Zedjula —( this is an oral chemotherapy maintenance treatment of female adults with advanced ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer. ZEJULA is used after the cancer has responded (complete or partial response) to treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy. She’s taken the intravenous chemotherapy extremely well; which made her a prime candidate for Zedjula. (GOOGLE it you be surprised at the cost mind blown) yet this form of Chemo is to keep the cancer antigen down. For those whom do not know Lesley was diagnosed Last year May 26 2021 with 2 forms of cancer. Stage 1 Uterine Cancer & Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer, gallstones, diabetes, high & blood pressure. She’s undergone 6 months of intravenous chemotherapy (Paclitaxel and carboplatin) followed by a shot of Neulasta. She as mentioned did very well. Kidney, liver, bladder all did extremely well. $5000 is what we are praying to raise. Please share!
