Medical miracles for Hailee Patnesky

Hello,

My name's Jeff and I am creating this fundraiser in faith that our family, friends, community and all the kind hearted people across this world may step up and help a family in complete dire need. In 2020 2 sisters were walking eastbound on Gibbon Rd in Central Point Oregon when due to low light, limited visibility and not paying attention a driver was headed directly at the girls. Hailee, being the one closest to the road was hit, taking the full impact of the speeding vehicle head on. Hailee was struck down and suffered a SEVERE major traumatic brain injury. The doctors gave the beautiful 16 yr old less than a 1% chance of living. Miss Hailee spent weeks in a coma and doctors prepared her family for the eventual decision to let Her go see the Lord. However this family is a family of fighters and of faith. Mom Michelle and dad Joe, knew without a doubt that Hailee would live! Thru all the pain, anger, worry, stress, Hailees family all knew God was not done with Hailee and her time on earth was not over, like the doctors were telling them. Hailee has spent 2 years in a terrible rehabilitation facility out of state in Texas while mom Michelle fought tooth and nail with her to get the support she needed. During that 2 years not only did the family have to concentrate on getting Hailee better but they've had to fight to get Oregon Medicare to even cover the basic medical needs, therapy and supplies, it was and has been nothing but a nightmare for this family. This family has been financially ruined, having exhausted all state resources, insurance money, savings, assets and any outside financial help they received in the beginning. They have lost everything and now medicare has flat given up on them and Hailee. The state has essentially said that they will only pay for keeping Hailee alive and NOTHING MORE. How do you tell a mother and family that they can no longer put Hailee thru and sort of rehabilitation programs to allow her the continued success at regaining any sort of function of life? I cannot imagine what it must feels like to be told because you don't have anymore money that your child now must not be allowed further recovery? I can't imagine the desperation and disgust they feel hearing this. See it's been over 2 years since Hailees accident and from the beginning the family was told that Hailee would NEVER be anything other than bedridden, non functioning, and essentially just a "shell". However with the love, support, strength and the fight that this family shares along with Hailee herself, she has proven the doctors and the state Medicare case managers, wrong time and time again! Meeting goals that they were told less than 2 years ago would NEVER happen. It is thru the amazing strength, unbelievable fight and love that Hailee is where she is today. However now the family is facing an extreme challenge and disappointment all because the state is refusing to pay for any more therapy, treatment or equipment beyond simply keeping Hailee alive...

God is still healing Hailee and has obvious bigger plans for her. The miraculous recovery she has made over the past 2 years is proof!

Right now the family has some immediate needs for Hailee. First of all Hailee needs tubes placed in her ears so that she can get "hypobaric chamber treatment". Once again the state is refusing to pay for any further treatment so unless they receive a financial blessing to cover the expenses related to the procedure, Hailee will not be able to have the treatment that the specialist advises.... The expenses are in the thousands.. Most of which are anesthesiologist, time in the chamber and the hospital daily rate itself...

Secondly the family needs help with a wheelchair van or mechanical and safety repair of the old broke down van that they currently have but sits broken down. This family is being torn apart and every single ounce of energy and strength is going to Hailees recovery. Hailees siblings, her dad and her mom do nothing but care and fight for Hailee and a safe, suitable wheelchair van would allow the family to go do things together, complete as a full family! This is something that they have not been able to do since Hailees accident. One parent always has to stay home as does Hailee if they want or need to leave the house. This fundraiser is not intended to be a pity party or the like. It is simply a leap of faith in God that he will touch the good folks of the world to assist a deserving family in their fight to continue to provide any and all therapeutic resources available regardless of the financial costs. If the specialist says a therapy may be beneficial to Hailee and allow her just a tad more normalcy, then by all means she deserves it! Hailees accident was highlighted on many news and websites and can be seen by simply searching "Hailee Patnesky accident" if you would like to verify what I am telling you and asking for. For any potential larger donors, we can provide many letters of denials for the procedures that Hailee needs, from the state of Oregon Medicare.

This fundraiser is not some common, usual asking for money...it's a "Hail Mary" and act of desperation, love and in turn faith that God will make a way.

Hailees story will be featured and an update done tomorrow evening (Friday the 13th) on our local news channel here in southern Oregon for anyone to see. I will also add links once the story is finalized.

Please folks put yourself in the shoes of Hailees Mom, Michelle and the rest of the family, and think what it must feels like when at no fault of her own, their beautiful 16 year old, energetic, happy, smiling, loving, daughter was snatched away in a split second and to now have to live the hell they live every day...being told your daughter can't have any potentially helpful therapy because you don't have any more money....no parent should ever have to face this!
