This has been created to benefit Samuel and Sheyla as they go through caring for their newborn daughter Nariah as she remains in the NICU, while grieving the loss of their daughter and Nariah’s twin, Hadassah.

At 35 weeks pregnant, Sheyla had to be induced due to preeclampsia and on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021,  gave birth 5 weeks early to identical twin girls, Nariah Hope and Hadassah Faith. Nariah was born weighing 3lb 12oz. Hadassah went to be with the Lord in December and was born sleeping next to her twin sister.

By the grace of God, Nariah is doing extremely well but is expected to be in the NICU at Loma Linda for the next few weeks in order to keep her weight up and monitor her lungs. The commute from Indio to Loma Linda is over an hour each way and these funds will help cover those travel expenses once Sheyla is released and Nariah remains in the NICU, including hotels if needed so that Samuel and Sheyla can travel with their 22 month old daughter, Penelope. The funds will also be used for cremation services to lay Hadassah’s body to rest.

Please continue to pray for Nariah and her medical care team at Loma Linda. Also pray for Samuel and Sheyla as they navigate through this transition, while mourning the loss of Hadassah. Thank you for your support and care for them through this extremely difficult time.
