On behalf of our entire Gallagher family, I'm trying to raise money to help out my heroes, "Big Bro" Tom Broome and his wife, and our Lil' Sis" Erin Gallagher-Broome. Tom has been battling cancer now for eight years, the last four of which have been Stage 4 cancer. And, all these years, you would never have known he was terminally ill. Or, that he has been through more rounds of chemotherapy, surgical micro-ablasions, drug trials, pet scans, cat scans, doctors, medical specialists, and too many other cancer treatments to name. Yet, Tom, a retired policeman, and retired air-force veteran continued to work full time up until Covid set the world upside down.

Up until three weeks ago, Tom, with wife Erin in tow, was frequently found boating, fishing, "bugging out", building something, tinkering with some home project, or creating some new clever invention. He has never slowed down, never complained, and has spent every possible moment absolutely loving life, and his wife, Erin. As a patient, he is considered a medical miracle by every member of the medical community he has dealt with over these long years. And, he is loved fiercely by his Broome family, his adopted mother, Carol, and all his Broome and Gallagher siblings (especially this one!).

Navigating through these cancer-filled years has taken a tremendous financial toll on both Tom and Erin. Neither of them would ever let on about their financial burden, or the fact that it took seven of those cancer-filled years to finally become “eligible” for VA benefits. They would never let on the immensity of the accumulated medical and end-of-life expenses that Erin will ultimately be left. But, I will! And, if you can help in any way, and as soon as possible, I know for certain Tom and Erin will be grateful.
