Medical & Memorial Expenses for Jeff Lujan

Hi, my name is Brooke Kjar and I have set up this gofundme in an attempt to help my mother, Michele Lujan and our family. On May 26, 2023, Michele’s husband & my step-dad, Jeff Lujan, passed away due to a 2 1/2 year long battle of complications from COVID-Pneumonia in 2021. Those that knew Jeff know that the world and our family lost an incredible ray of light that day, and an amazing man who refused to give up easily, no matter how hard the fight got.

My mom was the picture of strength throughout this journey, whether it meant staying by Jeff’s side everyday for a 5-month stint in the ICU in 2021, supporting him through rehab, everyday life, constant doctors and becoming the sole provider for him and their home the following months and years after that, or his final 14-hour surgery and month-long stay in the ICU this past April-May. Unfortunately all the strength in the world can’t put a stop to the increasing list of medical and celebration of life expenses left behind for her to navigate on her own. I am reaching out to our community on behalf of Michele and my family to receive any help we can get. Anything donated is unwaveringly appreciated in making the future a little less overwhelming as we all adjust to this new normal.
