Hi my name is Lori and my Best Friend's 30 year old Daughter, Schuylar has been battling an aggressive cervical cancer since March. This week through a pet scan to see how her treatments worked on the cervical cancer it appeared that the cancer had metastasized to her liver. A biopsy later in the week confirmed this. Schuylar will begin a new aggressive regimen of Chemo within the next 2 weeks. Schuylar, her husband Joe and their 19 month old son Vander will make the move from their current home in Gainesville GA to Harrisonburg VA within the next few weeks as well. This will allow them to be closer to family as she begins this new battle. Her Mom has mentioned to me that several people who love Schuylar have asked how they can help. Being friends with her Mom for over 40 years I know that it is hard for this family to ask for any kind of help, but I also know that Schuylar's first battle and treatments, along with procedures to allow for more Barnes Babies in the future if the outcome is what her family and friends are praying for is God's will, has left some substantial medical expenses that were not covered by insurance. That along with this move and not knowing how much Schuylar will be able to work during her treatment can definitely cause a financial burden. So in knowing all of this I feel that this is the best way for myself and others who care about and love this family to support them . We together can help relieve part of this financial burden on this already hurting family. I have set this account up so that all donations will go directly deposited into Schuylar and Joe's savings account. I know that they will be humbled and greatly appreciative of any help and support that is offered to them through this fund.
