Medical leave and treatment

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Charlie, I am reaching out to community in hopes of raising funds to help cover medical leave from work and continued treatment.
While pregnant with my daughter 6 years ago I started to develope sciatica, despite multiple trips to the doctor and various body workers I was never given a diagnosis and any relief was often short lived. After returning to work it was pretty normal for me to work a few weeks and then need to take a week off of work to deal with the chronic pain I was experiencing. I then scaled back my working hours to give my body more time to rest. Although I was calling in sick much less often it was pretty common for me to be in so much pain I couldn't walk by the end of my work week. After dealing with this sciatic pain for about a year I developed a secondary hip injury back in August that made it feel like my hip was dislocating. It happened infrequently enough that I didn't pay it much mind until a few months ago when the episodes became frequent. At this point I sought out a physiotherapist and started to work with her on my hips. The results were miraculous! The pain practically went away after a few sessions! I was feeling so hopeful until a month and a half into treatment I experienced sciatic pain so bad it sent me to the ER; I couldn't bend or sit without being in excruciating pain. I was informed by the doctor that I had a classic presentation of a bilateral bulging disk around L3 L4 and that I would get a referral for a CT scan to confirm(wait time approximately 6 months). I brought this information to my physiotherapist and she did a disk test with me which confirmed the doctor was likely right. 6 years later I finally had a diagnosis for my hip issue, a bulging disk in my lower back and I had developed some secondary issues like the bursa in my left hip by overcompensating for years. I was given the MacKenzie method to help heal the disk and given the advise that I needed to avoid bending squatting and twisting to allow the disk time to heal.

As a self employed cleaner by trade this has led me to the heartbreaking decision that I need to take time off of work to allow my body time to heal as well as continue my accupunture and physio to support in my healing process. I don't have much in the way of savings so a i am reaching out to my community for help to be able to take the time off I need. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and thank you to all those who are able to donate to help me through this financial and physical hurdle.
