Hello. My name is Carrie. Medical Lake Washington, just outside of Spokane has a terrible wildfire going on, named the Gray Fire.

I was notified by my mom last night, that my aunt Sally had to evacuate from the home, she and her late husband built nearly 20 years ago. As she drove away from her home, with only enough time to grab her dogs and bird, her neighbors house caught fire. The fire was right behind her as she fled. Her house, along with many neighbor's homes, are now gone. There is literally nothing left. Everything from pictures, cards from my late grandparents, medication, cars, and everyday belongings are gone.

This was my and my daughters summer vacation spot. Every summer we flew up to be with her in her wonderful home. There is so much loss and heartache, that words just cannot describe.

Her home is just ash now. My aunt Sally is 80. She is a widow, a mother, a grandmother, a friend, an aunt, a great aunt to me and my sisters children, and so much more. She is a survivor. She has lost two husbands and fought and beat breast cancer. She is the kindest, toughest, and one of the most resilient people I know.

She lost family treasures near and dear to her heart, none which can be replaced. But, when I asked her how I can help, she suggested a gofundme... not just for her but her community, her neighbors, her friends, who also lost their homes.

These donations will go to the Silver Lake/Medical Lake Gray fire victims. Any and all of them.

Please help us rebuild Silver Lake Rd and Medical Lake Washington.
