Donation protected

This story is written by a father and husband
On 28th August 2018 my son Vicky aged 35 years collapsed was rushed to hospital. He was found to have a Brain Haemorrhage. He was in a critical condition and we admmitted to ICU. He could not move speak or breathe and was on oxygen.
A neurosurgeon was called to assess him. His breathing was difficult and his blood pressure was fluctuating. A tracheostomy in his neck was done.
He was first discharged after 25 days in ICU and we took him home where he was kept under treatment. Doctors were visiting him during the day and Night Nurses were allocated to take care of him. For the first year his condition was very serious and could not MOVE or SPEAK.
After a year of care, he slowly started to move his RIGHT HAND.
The tracheostomy tube was changed every month for a year.
Three years on he can understand messages. We have needed Day and Night nurses to take care of his physical needs and monitor his Blood,Sugar,Pulse,Pressure and Heart Rate.
He has slowly started to sit with support so doctors advised PHYSIOTHERAPY to help with his recovery.
We started Physiotherapy and Body massages for half an hour daily.
In the year 2022 he started to slowly recover and can now speak a few words and can eat a little as well.
Today he speaks, plays with his daughter and is progressing but cannot stand or sit without back support.
We are STRUGGLING with his recovery and he cannot WALK and STAND on his OWN.

Aruna (mother to Vicky and my wife):
In the Month of March 2023 she fell ill and was taken to hospital. She was diagnosed with an infection after tests and was kept on medication but this did not help her condition and it was not improving, so we changed her medicine. Her infection in her leg was severe so Antibiotic Injections were given through a drip in her vein for 5 days. There was no improvement and in the mean time an infection appeared in her left leg as well and as she is DIABETIC they started treatment and removed pus from her wound. After a week of dressing the wound was gradually getting better but needed daily dressings. After a week on the antibiotics she started vomiting large amounts of blood.
She was diagnosed with GERD Grade 2.
Treatment was started for this.
We arranged for a dressing person to come home and do, as this was cost effective and for two and half months she was bed bound and the wound was gradually healing.
treatment is going on, Slowly she has started to walk a little bit. .
Doctors visit twice a month to see her and see the progress of WOUND and general.
We desperately need funds for all consultations and medicines as we are struggling.
Healthcare in Tanzania is not free so we have to pay for it ourselves.
Any donations will be hugely appreciated.
