Medical Help For Little Princess

This is Princess. Princess is still a baby at 6 months old and already life has been difficult. Like any little puppy, Princess loves to run around, play with her toys and give little puppy dog kisses. All of this was cut short when this baby girl accidently fell off of a bed and terribly fractured her leg. It was a terrible break. Her loving family was devastated and immediately took her to the vet. Sadly the family wasn’t able to afford the expensive surgery to repair her leg. They were heart broken and it killed them to see her in such pain. Wanting what was best for Princess they decided to take her to the shelter thinking they might be able to provide Princess with the care she needed. When the shelter explained to her that this wasn’t something they could do she took Princess back home with her. She wasn’t about to leave her somewhere where her future would be uncertain. Though they could not afford to give her the care she needed they were determined to find someone that could.
When we, Furever Angels Animal Rescue, was made aware of this situation we knew we needed to help. One of our foster moms reached out to the lady. She was so happy that help had arrived for sweet little Princess. With bittersweet tears she carefully handed little Princess over to us wishing her a happy and long life. We made a promise that we would make sure she does and we intend to keep that promise.
Princess is a 6 month old Chinese Crested / Chihuahua mix. Also known as a Chi-Chi. She weighs about 7 lbs. Because so much time has gone by since the initial break until the time we took possession, her leg has been healing incorrectly. We immediately got her into a vet that specializes in orthopedics. He feels that it isn’t too late but she must have surgery right away in order to not risk losing her leg. Her surgery is scheduled for this coming Monday, Feb. 26th. We have until then to raise the funds needed to cover this. The estimate for the surgery is $1700.
Princess is an extremely sweet, loving little girl that gets along well with people, cats and dogs. There’s really nothing that she doesn’t like. She deserves a better start at life. We want to give that to her and then ultimately a forever family that can care of her and love her. We want this for her and we promised this for her to her original owner. With your help we can make this happen. I know that the amount seems like a lot but it would not take many donations to reach that goal.
