Medical help for Griffin

Adopting a pet should be a joyous and exciting time in anyone’s life- as it was for me and my husband when we adopted Griffin. He was about 6 months old and had the goofiest jump and what looked like powder sugar around his lips. He wasn’t quite a year when he started throwing up. The vet couldn’t be sure, but to keep an eye on it. He got to the point of throwing up and not wanting to eat. After many visits and tests, it was determined that he had a hepatic liver shunt- which was upsetting his whole body. He lost weight, was tired, was given medicine to draw out the ammonia that his liver couldn’t filter out. He was scheduled for surgery… but before that could happen, he started to have trouble breathing. He went in again to have fluid drained from his lungs. After another test it was determined that the cause was probably a lung lobe torsion. This prevents air and blood flow and the lobe dies and fluid builds up. He is due to have surgery for both as long as the lung one goes well.
Griffin has been such a blessing! He is such a good boy- he loves people and loves to give anyone who will allow it- kisses❤️ If he sees someone new, he just wants to be their friend❤️
If you are able to help with this fundraiser- thank you! We will also take your prayers and we’ll wishes❤️
