On Friday, September 19th, Phyllis found my Dad, Gary Carter, on the floor of the camper. He was so weak from being sick that he was unable to get up, and an ambulance had to be called. He was transported to Mercy hospital in Cape, where he was admitted. Dad has c-diff, was very dehydrated, and is having some kidney impairment. Sometime in the early hours of September 20th, he then also suffered a stroke on the right side. Because of the stroke, he has some left-sided impairment. His BP dropped & he was moved to the cardiac floor where meds were given to help raise it. He has to be closely monitored on this medication. He has a very long road ahead of him after what I’m sure will be a long hospital stay. Gary & Phyllis are always the first to help anyone in any way they can. They need help now from anyone who is able and willing to help. Phyllis does still work outside of the home, but is having to miss work to be there for Dad. Please find it in your heart to help them during their time of need, even if all you can provide is prayers. Thank you so much!
