Medical help for injured Rockhound
Donation protected
LABL Rockhounds pitcher James Chmilienski suffered a devastating injury when his humerus bone snapped while delivering a pitch on Sunday November 14. The diagnosis is a spiral fracture of the humerus bone in his left (throwing) arm. This is an injury that almost exclusively happens to baseball players because of the violent biomechanics of the throwing motion. Though rare, the reality is that it could happen to any of us at any time.
James is a great teammate, a gracious competitor, and a true lover of the game of baseball. Let's help him get through this serious injury.
Despite the gruesome nature of the incident, the fracture is one that athletes can experience a 100% recovery from. That recovery depends critically on careful medical treatment and rehabilitation. James is facing months of recovery time. That level of care can lead to astronomical and life-altering medical bills, especially for those without medical insurance that covers emergency procedures. I hope that our LABL community can come together to help offset some of the costs James will face on this long road to recovery.

Every week we ignore the obvious reality that we're risking our well-being in the face of injury to play this game. We risk our livelihoods because our love of the game is more passionate than our fear. James loves this game. Please pitch in whatever amount you can afford to help a fallen brother get through a difficult time.
All proceeds will go directly to help offset James' medical costs.
Thank you. Go Hounds.
