Medical help for Ally – Life changing surgery needed

Donation protected

Hello,

I'm Jos and I'm Ally's Mum.

In January 2021 our angelic Ally’s health whole life turned upside down overnight following whiplash accident in the car where Ally was a passenger. The impact has changed her life forever, but she is still here, and we are holding on to hope.

Ally lost 17kg very rapidly and is still struggling to keep her weight at mere 45kg. Ally has been admitted into hospital countless times since 2021. Ally has had approximately 80 surgeries/procedures in her young lifetime; however, her determination and resilience has kept her going.

Ally now suffers in torture every single day, she has Pulsatile Tinnitus 24/7, Daily Migraines, Pressure Headaches, Blurry Vision, Severe Dizziness, Nausea, Chronic Leg, Neck, Back pain and Full Body Tremors. Ally's Team of surgeons, specialists and doctors discovered Ally has Bilateral Internal Jugular Vein Compressions which she has undergone two surgeries on her left side (Styloidectomy and C1 Shave), and her team of surgeons have just discovered she has a large cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) Leak in her spine and requires spinal laminectomy surgery ASAP at the Macquarie University Hospital.

Ally’s angelic body has been broken. We desperately want to see our Ally’s smile and beautiful radiance come back to life and to be able to see her stand for longer than 1 minute in one spot and be able to walk around freely as she has now become bed bound. We would love nothing more for her to have some quality of life and see her come back to life.

The medical costs are staggering and keep climbing and on top of this not only has Ally has been facing her health challenges it has taken a big strain her finances only receiving the Disability Pension leaving her in a vulnerable position.

Through Ally’s determination, she started to join online social groups where they share the same or similar symptoms and share medical imaging. Ally has read hundreds of whitepaper studies on her medical conditions and reached out to doctors in Australia, America and the UK and shared her imaging and had zoom appointments. All the surgeons have collaborated across the globe who have viewed her scans and now finally finding a large CSF leak in her spine which now requires invasive spinal surgery, rehabilitation hospital, more medications. Ally has been away from her family (Mum, Dad, siblings and nieces and nephews) and staying with her elderly Uncle down in NSW for the past few months now; as that is where her team of 7 surgeons/specialists are located.

Ally has had 5 surgeries and procedures in the last 3 months and her 6th surgery approaching. Ally suffers from a large spinal CSF leak along with high and low pressure simultaneously, which is very complex to treat and is quite rare.

A little about Ally – she is light of everyone’s heart
Ally has a beautiful kind nature and used to enjoy painting and is a very talented artist, she has always put others before herself. The mottos that Ally lives by are “It’s going to be ok”, “Live Simply”, “Love Generously”, “Care Deeply” & “Speak Kindly” as Ally always says “you never know what people are going through” It’s important for Ally to put a smile on any one’s face despite what she is going through. Her infectious personality and endless compassion have touched so many lives, and it’s impossible to understand why someone so selfless and loving would have to endure all of this. Ally looks forward to the day when she can become a Patient Advocate & going back to being an artist and dreams of pursuing a career in Interior Design.

How your donation will be used.
We are asking for your help to ease the financial burden this tragedy has placed on Ally. Your donations will go towards ongoing medical treatments for her insidious conditions, spine surgeries', Internal Jugular Vein Decompression surgeries, anesthetists bills, hospital costs, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation hospital, medications and living away from home costs. Your support will allow our family to stay close to her during this incredibly difficult time. No amount is too small—anything you can spare will make a difference. The $20,000 that we are seeking to raise will only just cover the cost of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak spinal laminectomy surgery alone.

Please, if you can, donate to help our angelic Ally through the long and difficult journey ahead. Our family will be forever grateful for your kindness and generosity.

Forever grateful,
Ally’s Circle of Love xx
