Dear Friends,
I am taking a stand against mental illness and the stigmas surrounding it. I am tired of so many people feeling alone in their journey with depression and anxiety. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
I have battled Addison's Disease, Narcolepsy, Cataplexy, PTSD, ADHD, Hormone Insufficiency, and a history of concussions. All of these things have had a tremendous impact on my mental and physical health. These are just the known issues...there are also severe muscle cramps and spasms that happen throughout my body without reason.
The impact that this has had on my life is beyond words; however, it's the impact that it has had on the people around me that has brought me much pain and shame. It has destroyed some relationships with friends and family who cannot relate, nor wish to understand mental health issues.
I have dedicated my life to serving others as a life coach and speaker. Working for me has been the only way for me to provide for my family as I was no longer able to function in a corporate work environment. I am grateful for everything my health issues have taught me. It has allowed me to grow a business, serve others, grow in my faith, have a deeper understanding of self, and learn how to ask for help.
I have tried it all with getting help - everything from modern medicine solutions to alternative healing.
What I do know is that answers are in my brain and I have found my expert - Dr. Daniel Amen.
It is with the belief of my doctor and my personal research, that the work of Dr. Daniel Amen and his team would greatly support me in finding the answers to my health issues...a way forward!
His team will do a full 3 day evaluation of me, both physically and psychologically. His techniques are outside the box; however, I am at a stage in life where I need a little outside the box thinking.
Today I am asking for your help. If I have ever offered you any value, I would greatly appreciate you joining me on this journey. This money will be going towards the appointment, pre-appointment labs, travel, lodging, post-appointment follow up, and all other medical bills.
THE GOOD NEWS - I have already put down some money to book my appointment at their home office in Irvine, CA on 9/9-9/11!!!
I am dedicated to sharing the entire journey and hoping that I can help more people find a way forward in conquering their depression and mental illness. I am not saying this is a cure...I am saying that I will be gaining valuable awareness and tools that will help me thrive through life.
