Hi! My name is Holly, and I am raising funds for an extraordinary lady! Carla is going through some medical issues at the moment, and I would like to help her out while she is healing.
Carla has been sick since the end of November and has not been able to work. She will not be able to resume work for quite some time do to the extensive surgery. She needs to be able to heal without the added stress of finances.

Carla is always there for everyone whenever they need her, and I would like to support her during her healing time.
Carla's family asked me to post more information on her condition.

This is her story...
This all started with Carla making an ER visit on Nov 30th and then again Dec 1st, then the travel and medical tests began.
First was an ERCP in Wpg Dec 5th which found the blockage of the bile ducts. A stint was placed along with scraping taken to send to Oncology.
Dec 14th Carla found out she had Cancer… more appointments were made with another trip to Wpg for both abdominal and chest CT Scans Resulting in a bit of good news, the chest scan revealed that the Cancer had not spread and was still localized in the Liver
Then after Christmas, Jan 4th, another trip to Wpg for an appointment with the Cancer team. However that trip ended up a 6 night hotel stay as the Doctor scheduled a drain procedure be done because the jaundice was still out of control and surgery was not an option until it was controlled. Followed by an MRI to complete the list of tests on Jan 9th. At this appointment she was given her options which were pretty scary. No surgery but that meant a life expectancy of 1 maybe 2yrs
Surgery which would see a removal of approximately 2/3-3/4 of her liver. But surgery carried many possible out comes but if successful would mean 3 or more years of life. Scary options to say the least.
Then things settled down for a bit!! But on Jan 25th she got a phone call saying your jaundice is slowly receding and we are ready to schedule surgery it should be within 2wks if you are agreeable and consenting. She did choose surgery.
But life had its own mind and Carla ended up admitted to Flin Flon General Hospital on Jan 27th because of a spiking fever and a bacterial infection. Then on Feb 3rd was flown to HSC in Wpg so the Cancer team could monitor what was happening and once thing were under control the surgery would be preformed.
The surgery date was Feb 15th and considered a success. But she is still in Wpg at HSC having had a few hiccups in the road but improving each day.
