Medical Funds for Freddy

As I’m sure most of you have heard, our dear Freddy had a stroke last week and has been in the hospital since. Despite his resistance to ask for help, we created this GoFundme to alleviate any financial stress during this time for he and his family and allow them to focus solely on getting our Freddy back on his feet.

Freddy has been a staple in our community for years. He has welcomed so many of us time after time with love & laughter, whether you saw him at the gym, the grocery store, or a local spot watching the NY GIANTS---consistently he is accepting and kind. To know him, is to love him.

Although we believe that God’s grace will give Freddy his movement and voice back, he is currently unable to walk or speak. He may be unable to work for some time and need months of rehab to recover fully. Incredibly, he hasn’t lost his ability to laugh.

Asking for help is a humbling experience yet there is so much power in vulnerability. Like myself, so many people feel helpless. He has received numerous calls, texts, and facebook messages from so many wanting to help—here is our chance.

My hope is that each of us can find it in our hearts to reach down in our pockets and help this transition of his go a little more smoothly.
