Sara and Steven found out that they are expecting a special bundle of joy. When they went in for their routine 20 week ultra sound they found out there were dangling cysts on the babies brain. They would have to go back 4 weeks later for an ultrasound to check out the fluid. Good news the dangling cysts are gone but ultrasound indicated baby Weis is extremely small. The doctors sent Sara and Steven to a specialist in Minneapolis. They did not receive the news they were hoping for. Instead Sara was admitted into the hospital and was told her placenta is not working properly. Baby Weis is not growing as a baby should be and is estimated to be only 1 pound. Sara will have to remain in the hospital until baby Weis is born. Sara will have daily ultrasounds and tests ran to see how things are progressing. Sara is only 25.3 weeks along. Everyday that baby Weis gets to stay inside is a blessing. Sara is unable to work and Steven will be working as much as he can but will be driving back and forth from Mankato to Minneapolis. Sara could stay in the hospital for a few months before baby is born. Please give what you can to help pay for medical needs for both Sara and her precious baby.
