Hi, my name is Anthonia and I am fundraising for my sister-in-law Napa Pala.

This is her story.

My name is Napa Pala I live in Port Moresby Papua New Guinea. I am a 43 year old happily married mother of five beautiful children, three boys and two girls. They are my world and today I am reaching out because I need your help to stay with them. In September 2025 my life changed forever when I began having difficulty swallowing. After numerous tests, I revived the devastating news that: stage 3 throat cancer. Due to the severity of my illness and my inability to continue working, I was asked to resign from my job. This left my family without our primary source of income exactly when we needed it most. Recently, the situation has become even more urgent. My most recent reviews confirmed that the cancer has spread to my liver and is now stage 4. In my home country (Papua New Guinea), the health care system is facing severe crisis. We lack the specialists needed to treat my condition. I have been told there is little the public system can do for me beyond providing basic medication to try and shrink the tumors. I have been advised that I cannot receive radiation here, and while some doctors believe chemo therapy is still an option, the public hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced.

To fight this, I need to seek specialised medical care that is currently unavailable to me. Your donations will go directly towards it.
