I am raising money for a friend of mine that I have known for 35 years. Kerry Baker (Prebyl) is a married mom of 3 teenage boys, lives in Wilber, NE, works part time managing rentals and painting houses. Her husband, Brian, works for Koch Industries in Beatrice.

On the evening of July 13, 2021 Zander, 16 years old, had a horrible accident and was electrocuted downtown Wilber. He had to be life flighted to Saint Elizabeth's burn unit. The electricity entered his right shoulder & exited his left leg. He has 2 wound vacuum pumps on his shoulder & leg. He has had 1 surgery to clean out dead skin and tissue but will need more surgeries in the future, plus lots of skin grafting and then off to Madonna for physical therapy to help with nerve damage in leg and in part of his foot.

Zander is a good student, and active in Wrestling, Baseball, Football & Track every year. Because of this accident he will not be able to start school on time or participate in any of his sports this year. This has him feeling really down but definitely hoping for a full recovery so he can once again participate in the sports he loves.

I am doing this gofundme to help this family out with medical, driving and food expenses. Kerry & Brian share the duty of spending every day and evening with Zander, in the hospital, plus also make sure to care for the other 2 chidren in the house. Between the daily commutes to Lincoln & medical bills it is a huge expense, and with this gofundme I am hoping to relieve them of some of the those expenses.
