My father, Robert Foster, is a retired City of Winston-Salem Fire Department Captain, Forsyth County 911 operator, and worked as a communicator for a private ambulance service until this illness. He has spent his life serving the people of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. On September 17th, 2021 he had brain surgery and was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer which has metastasized to his bones and brain. Though he has insurance through his retirement with the city the palliative care he wishes to receive is very expensive. One of his chemotherapy drugs copay is $2,100 a month. He will also be starting radiation therapy this week. I have organized this GoFundMe to help him cover his share of the medical cost and hopefully allow him to achieve all of his goals on his bucket list.
