Hi everyone! As some of you may know, my sister, Angelina, was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer at the beginning of this year. Thankfully, they caught the cancer in the early stages and she was able to get surgery and have her thyroid completely removed. However, there were some unexpected post surgery complications and the pathology reports are still showing positive for cancer as well. What was just supposed to be a surgery and maybe a radiation treatment has now turned into much more.
She has also developed major breathing and vocal problems post surgery and has to see multiple specialists. Many tests, scans, therapy, and treatment are quickly coming up and medical bills are starting to pile up. Due to all of these unexpected complications, my sister is unable to work right now until they can find out exactly what’s wrong and how to fix it.
This is why I am creating this GoFundMe. I wanted to reach out to family and friends and ask for help for her and her family and all of the medical bills piling up. Any amount would greatly help. Our family doesn’t want her to have to go through the stress of treatment and have to worry about the financial burden as well. She is such an amazing mom, wife, sister, daughter, auntie, and friend. She is always there for her family and is doing her best despite her circumstances.
