Medical Funding for Kris Ford’s Cancer Battle

Hello Friends of Kris. Many of you may remember Kris’ battle with breast cancer 20 years ago and are aware the cancer has returned with a vengeance. Kris has been unable to work since October 2023 and the medical bills continue to add up. She would never want to accept financial assistance for herself, yet she often was the organizer of bake sales and fund raisers for fellow employees when the need arose. Additionally, if you needed off work for a special occasion, she would willingly work a double or even triple shift (yours, her own and someone else's), without expecting repayment. We all know Kris can be strong minded, opinionated and outspoken, but her words are always honest & fair and are tempered with kindness. She never backs down from a battle and if the battle is an effort to defend a friend, you could never ask for a more determined, dedicated and devoted ally. I for one, have been blessed by her friendship. Won’t you join me in helping alleviate at least one of the current stresses in her life by helping pay down her medical bills. Your support would be appreciated more than you could know.

PS: Friends, as you know, Kris is very private and very proud and if she had known, would have NEVER agreed to this fund raiser. I finally told her last evening that some friends wanted to support her, but for the time being we are only using email contact and word of mouth to get this ball rolling. Since GoFundMe is such a public platform, I wanted to give her a day or so to get used to the idea of a fund raiser before posting to Facebook. We will likely go live on Facebook early next week. At that time she will be able to see the list of donors and your heartfelt comments. Thanks again for your generosity!!

PSS: 100% of ALL donations will go to Kris. I know that it currently shows my name as beneficiary, but it's only because it was originally set up secretly on Kris' behalf and as organizer, the website automatically used my name. We haven't gotten Kris' GoFundMe account and transfer to her bank account set up yet, but will do so this coming week. All funds will transfer directly to Kris' account.
