Hi my name is Rylie Angelone. My brother , Brayden Davis and I have had a close bond with each other since we were little kids. We have always been very outgoing and adventurous which seems to come from our father. My brother just recently got married to a beautiful woman by the name of Megan. They share a home and have created a beautiful family. I am a college student working a part time job focusing on getting a degree in kinesiology. My brother and I have grown our relationship with our dad in such a unique way to where other people may never understand. We are here in need of any help we can get wether it be a penny or a simple prayer. Our dad went through extensive trauma in 2011 because he was hit by a car. Leaving him with an amputation to his right leg and him relying on a wheel chair to complete day to day activities. Never the less he’s the definition of a true warrior. He has stayed very positive and worked towards his passion in dog training. Unfortunately on Tuesday night his roommate found him laying on the floor with a flushed face and shortness of breath - Ryan was taken to the emergency room. Throughout the night they ran multiple test to see what could be causing all of this. They diagnosed him with severe diabetes with his blood sugar level in the 900s as well as extreme dehydration causing a massive heart attack Wednesday morning. They were able to clear the blockage in his heart. He is now on life support and ecmo, giving his body a rest. They also discovered ulcers in his esophagus causing internal bleeding. They put clips where the ulcers were and the bleeding has been controlled. Today he is going under surgery to hopefully take him off ecmo and remove the impella device and replace it with a better impella device to help the flow of his blood. We still aren’t sure the damages done to his heart which is why they are trying to take him off ecmo to see what his heart can do on its own. As Ryan's immediate family we were not sure two days ago if there would be another day that we could share a smile with our dad and now today we have hope of him walking out of the hospital. Now we are facing challenges of where his health, doctors, Billings, medication, etc. stand. we know that the challenges aren't going to be easy to over come but the Petersen family is a very strong family and faith is a huge thing that we hold. We aren't asking for everything/ expecting to be covered but anything will help. We want to help our dad get his foot in the door to a healthier life style and more stable.
