Hi, my name is Suzan Cameron, and I am fundraising for my friend Marie Rene, who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Marie recently suffered the loss of her husband, Raymond, from an illness that took his life. Now, to be battling a type of cancer that can be profoundly destructive if left untreated is heart-wrenching. Marie has been a wonderful friend to me during my divorce, as we worked together as nurses in the hospital. Marie comforted me throughout that ordeal and kept supporting me emotionally throughout that period of anguish. I consider her a devoted friend, and I know she has also touched the lives of others. Marie and her husband were active members of the Caribbean Association of Texas and the Haitian American Association of the DFW area, and their passion for service was evident in the labor they provided for causes that affected their community. Now is the time for us to help Marie in her time of need. Medical costs are high and can deplete one's existing funds; therefore, monetary contributions will help offset these expenses.
