Medical Fund for Mare Isreal
Donation protected
Hello everyone! We are on the last hours to raise funds to benefit Mare and her lifelong work with Pet-a-Bulls. Mare continues on her road to recovery, with each day granting her more comfort and abilities. One of her greatest thrills comes from graduating from sweat pants to yoga pants-much more comfortable and lady like, and reaching a 30 to 40 minute rest time on her left side! The dogs keep her moving forward, encouraging her to the each step with endurance and courage. They surely have saved her as much as she has saved them. Mare was able to have her hands on 10 dogs that were welcomed into loving homes this week. The smiles on Mare were equivalent to the joy on the dogs faces. Although Mare is making great strides, there remains a long road ahead for treatment and healing. Frequent naps, early bed times and very limited seated positioning. She is still unable to lift any weight or have full handling of the dogs for at least another 6 weeks. Unfortunately, this continues to keep her hands tied from advancing her adoptions as much as she desires. Please continue to be patient, as she tries each day to catch up on emails and Facebook pages. Short car rides are her only acceptable way to get out to breathe and stretch. The travels from Santa Fe to Albuquerque and back are quite wrenching on her physically, knocking her off her feet for several days to follow; often leading to a shortened event at park. We will not know what the near future holds until the 22nd of November when her first Oncology appointment occurs. So I ask, once again, to please come along side of me and help remove some of Mare's remaining medical expenses and emotional load. Doctor said no weight bearing, so let's continue to take away her financial burdens as well. Please continue to send up the love, the prayers and the hope for a brighter tomorrow for Mare and her recovery. Throw in a well wish for Miss Sadie, too, as she has a newly discovered lump that needs to be analyzed by the vet. These dogs are Mare's heartbeat, as are each of you. Thank you for your continued support, strength and hope. -Karyn Badgett
