My sister in law has been diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS), a serious autoimmune condition that causes the body to create antibodies that attack its own tissues, significantly increasing the risk of life-threatening blood clots and severe pregnancy complications.

For her to have a safe pregnancy and bring a healthy baby into the world, she requires specialized medical care. This includes daily blood thinning injections called heparin, frequent high risk obstetrician visits and specialized doppler ultrasound to monitor the baby's health every few weeks.

We are utilizing every resource available, but specialized healthcare in the Philippines is expensive and must be paid for upfront. The total estimated cost for her treatment, medication, and a safe delivery is £5,000.
