Medical Fund for John Martin Kirsch

John Martin Kirsch is our brother-in-law and also our best friend.   When he married my husband's sister over 20 years ago, we knew he was someone very special.
We started going out to dinner on Saturday nights,  trying different restaurants and going back to our favorite ones.  We also went on many trips together.
We have so many great memories of good times together.
Last summer we went on a European River cruise on the Danube with Jeanne and Marty and our other very good friends, Pat and Nelson Hill.   We had a great time, but we suspected something was not right with Marty because he had lost quite a bit of weight and fatigued easily.
We're all so glad we took that trip with him because not long after that he was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.  His care plan included chemotherapy once a week for several weeks, then a scan of the abdomen to see if the tumor had shrunk enough to surgically remove it.
Unfortunately, the tumor has not gotten smaller and he's had several set-backs which have delayed his treatment.  He's had several emergency room visits for low hemoglobin, requiring blood transfusions.   He's had a couple of surgical procedures as well.   One of which was a stent that was placed in his pancreatic duct because of a blockage.   Recently, he was admitted to the hospital because of an intestinal blockage and a high white blood cell count.   He's also receiving daily tube feeding through his port because of his continuing weight loss.
Needless  to say, even with health insurance, the bills are piling up.   Lots of co-pays, deductibles and coinsurance.   He could really use your help with this financial burden.
.Any amount would help, no matter how small and would be so greatly appreciated.
Another way to help would be to provide transportation to and from his chemo treatments.   His wife, Jeanne,  has been taking a lot of time off from work in order to get him to these appointments.
