Medical Fund for Corina

On August 23, 2018 Corina was diagnosed with Salivary Gland Carcinoma.  This was not the news any of us wanted to hear.  Only weeks earlier, she complained of a bump on her neck.  Family encouraged her to seek out medical advice.  She did not skip a beat and took all the necessary steps to find out what was happening.  With the support of her family, Corina traveled to MD Anderson and stayed a week to undergo a series of examinations that would confirm the doctor's diagnosis.  Cancer.  On September 10, 2018 she underwent a long and invasive surgical procedure to remove as much of the malignant tissue as possible.  


Corina is at home in McAllen resting and recovering from surgery.  She's in good spirits and doing her best to stay positive and strong.  On October 22, she will start radiation treatments in Houston, Texas.  She will stay there for the duration of 6 weeks.  Although she has medical insurance, it doesn’t cover the all costs already incurred as well as future deductibles and out-of-pocket expenses.  The cost for these treatments and services is expensive.  


I ask you from a humble and hurting heart to come together and help us raise money to help my best friend's mom/my second mom receive the treatments and care she needs now.  Time is of the ultimate essence.
