I am Cindy, an RN. My amazing brother Roy, through many divine miracles this last year, was able to move into his own apartment in January of 2025. He waited until he was 63 to realize this dream.

He and my mom came to live with me in Austin in the spring of 2010. Roy had a birth injury which has kept him in a wheelchair since then. Our sweet mom went to her heavenly home in April of 2016 after a 12-year struggle with dementia.

Many miracles through the years have allowed Roy to have some very special angels who work round-the-clock shifts to assure his care, safety, and now, his independence in an apartment. One of those special angels, Ervin, will have major surgery later this month and will be unable to work for at least 8 weeks. We hope to be able to help him with lost income and medical bills.
