Prayers & Blessings for the McGriff Family

Friends of the McGriff's:
As many of you know, Ollie went to the hospital last week at Peoria Children's Hospital where it was determined that Ollie was having seizures. After trying a variety of meds and dosages, the doctors were unable to control these seizures. As a result, the McGriff's decided to transfer him to Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago (where Ruby has been seen for her seizures). The McGriff's feel confident in the Lurie staff; however, with great care comes great costs.
Unfortunately, Lurie's is out-of-network and the McGriff's are facing a multitude of expenses. The most recent update from Lurie's is that Ollie will need to be on chemotherapy for a minimum of two years to shrink the brain mass that is causing the seizures. Unfortunately, this medicine will need to be paid primarily out-of-pocket.
Here's just what we know:
--First, Ollie & the McGriff family need all your prayers
--They are in the best possible place for Ollie to get help
Financially speaking:
--The ambulance ride alone will cost $3,000 out-of-pocket
--Unknown cost for out-of-network tests
--Unknown cost for indefinite hospital stay
--Loss of income since Jillian needs to be caring for Ollie
--Unknown cost of out-of-pocket chemotherapy meds for two years
The McGriff's need our help.
Let's SURROUND the McGriff's with PRAYERS & BLESSINGS. Whether it be through prayer or financial donations, please know that it is all greatly appreciated.
Ollie the morning after his arrival at Lurie's. Jillian writes (11/8/19): "He had fewer seizures overnight after arriving at Lurie. We have received a very warm welcome from all of the staff here. We are in an information gathering phase right now. He’s on continuous EEG monitoring while his new team evaluates and makes a plan. He is happy with his new room and spectacular view that is close to Northwestern’s helipad."
