We are fundraising for the Cox Family.

In October 2021, Holly and Garrett went to the doctor for what was supposed to be a cyst in Garrett's mouth but was found to be more than expected. Garretts's biopsy results came back as a malignant tumor, and based on the type of tumor, it was suspected to have started somewhere else in his body as it's not a typical oral cancer. On October 19th, we found out cancer had not spread anywhere else; this was the news we had been waiting for! Garrett then had mouth surgery to remove cancer & tumor from his mouth. The first surgery was to remove the bulk of the tumor, but unfortunately, they did not get clear margins. The second surgery removed an additional tumor, some jaw bone and two teeth, and lymph nodes on the right side of the neck, followed by the muscle flap reconstruction using part of his thigh muscle to replace the cheek muscle that had to be removed. The surgeries went terrific & Garrett began to recover remarkably well. Throughout all this heartache & stress, the Cox Family found out Holly is pregnant with a sweet baby boy. Although they have been extremely grateful for everything God has made happen during this time especially bringing such joy to their lives in an honestly trying time. They still have a ways to go before everything is back to how it was. In two weeks, Garrett will begin radiation treatments every day for six weeks and then once a week during those six weeks; he will have a low dose of chemotherapy. Due to his young age and the complexity of the tumor, they have been referred to Emory for treatments. Fortunately, he is covered under medical insurance, but Emory is out of network, so they will be paying a good amount out of pocket this time than with the first two surgeries. Along with the out-of-pocket payments, Emory is an hour away from their home in Gainesville; they will be making the trip there and back every day fr the next six weeks.

We are asking for help with any expenses throughout the next six weeks, as both Holly & Garrett will be out of work/not working as much. We are asking for your prayers; God's got this. We know that, but it takes an army & right now, this lovely family needs all the love and support.
