My husband, Ray LaBella, was diagnosed with multiple Myeloma in Sept 2021. We have insurance, but the chemo medications are expensive and we will have deductibles.  He is traveling to another state for initial treatment, and will again for the stem cell transplant. This fundraiser is to help cover the costs of travel for him, as well as myself when he goes for the transplant, as he will require a 24/7 care giver once released from the hospital but required to stay in close proximity to the hospital / treatment center for several more weeks. He is there right now for 5 weeks for the first round of treatment. He will receive several rounds of chemo locally, but then goes back to the out of state Cancer Center for at least 60 days for the transplant process. We estimate will be in March or April 2022. We will need stay in a hospital linked hotel or a short term Air BNB. I will be needed as his caregiver, but will have used up all of my paid leave from work which will put me in a leave without pay status.
