My mother-in-law, Peg Smith has been battling cancer now for over a decade. She was first diagnosed in 2009 with breast cancer and fought her way to a healthy cancer free life after doing chemo treatments and surgery.
Peg is a wonderful Mother of 4, grandmother of two and a loving wife to her husband. She has always given back to people in need and has done so much for her church.
A few years ago, she got the news her cancer came back and spread through her body. She was in the hospital for a long time getting treatment and we were told one day by her doctors she wouldn’t make it through the night. But she did. Everyone said it was a miracle. An absolute miracle! She eventually got to go home but was put on different treatments and started chemo again once her body felt a little stronger.
Just this past month, we have gotten sad news saying she has 3-6 months left to live without chemo, and 6-12 with it. However, the doctor is only allowing her one last treatment and he suggested hospice to make her comfortable after that.
This has been a huge financial burden on our family paying for medical bills and care. We are asking if you could help Peg in any way, we would be forever grateful. She deserves it and has been so strong fighting all of this time to stay with her family.
We are also asking for thoughts and prayers in this difficult time for our family as we prepare for the worst, but hope for another miracle.
Thank you so much to everyone who can help in any way.
