Medical Expenses Stage 5 CKD Fighter

Hey Guys,

It’s me….”Tonya” ❤️ Some of you may know but for those I haven’t shared this with I was diagnosed November 2022 with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease. To say this was a shock was an understatement. I had to first process this and then learn as much as I could to do my part to manage this Disease. I’ve been to classes and have done a lot of reading. I have a great Nephrologist and PCP which has helped me with this new diagnosis.

As of March 2023 I have unfortunately progressed to a Stage 5. I will be undergoing surgery in a few weeks to place a dialysis port. I will be doing PD at home dialysis after the site heals. I also will be undergoing IV iron infusions as well which being severely anemic is a part of this disease for me as well with irregular bone development. The ultimate goal is to have a successful Kidney Transplant!!!

I now am officially in the care of MCV TRANSPLANT TEAM who will be doing the surgery and taking control of my care.

Is it a lot “ABSOLUTELY” but my faith is strong, my vibe is always positive and God has brought me through somethings that most people wouldn’t have survived.

“I GOT 1 or 2 MORE GOOD FIGHTS LEFT IN ME”…..

I’m sharing this journey with you and setting this pride of mine to the side and ask if you would consider donating to this cause. I have medical and personal expenses that I would need to take care of and being out of work for the last 3 months and won’t be able to attempt to go back until later this year(hopefully)now is hard. These days and times asking for help is difficult enough in itself. I know we are all going through some type of struggle wether it be financially, physically or emotionally.
