Medical and living expenses - Queer POC in need

Donation protected
hi name is chris. I’m really hoping to raise some funds for medical treatment, general bills and living expenses to help out my husband andy and i.

I am on disability but that only is bare minimum and unfortunately i’ve had a lot of bills and medical expenses to catch up on. I

have “failed” all treatment options and the goal right now is just to make me as comfortable as i can be for however long i have. I have tried everything that’s been thrown at me.. liquid diet, tube feeds, a gastric stimulator, all motility meds, but I can no longer take anything like meds or foods orally unless i drain it from my stomach immediately, or else i throw up. I have zero motility in my stomach as well as no motility in my small intestine/colon which is why tube feeds failed - my small intestine wouldn’t empty at all so it just caused severe pain. I am now receiving TPN nutrition (total parenteral nutrition/IV nutrition) as last resort treatment, but unfortunately that could mean that my life span will be cut down pretty far as TPN isn’t good long term as it’s very hard on your organs, especially the liver. at this point, it’s just a waiting game and trying to stay as comfortable as i can. I am only 24.

really anything helps. a prayer, good vibes, a share, or even just $1. i am also always open to questions if anyone has one.

my diagnosed conditions are, for those who are curious:
  • gastroparesis
  • chronic intestinal pseudo obstruction
  • GERD
  • hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome (possibly other types, but i can’t afford the genetic testing right now)
  • dysautonomia
  • postural orthostatic tachycardia sundrome
  • neurogenic bladder
  • chronic hypoglycemia
  • chronic hypokalemia
  • degenerative disc disease w/ radiculopathy
  • bilateral CTS
  • colonic dysmotility
  • full GI tract failure
  • thrombocythemia
  • pectus excavatum
  • hashimoto
  • secondary adrenal insufficiency
  • asthma
  • small fiber neuropathy

along with being on TPN through a port, i have a jejunostomy tube for meds and a gastronomy tube for 24/7 draining of my stomach to help with my severe nausea and vomiting. i have to pay $105 monthly for my dexcom that alerts me and prevents me from letting my blood sugar get too low, as it likes to coast in the 20s and 30s. i recently had two seizures from low blood sugar.

I struggle with schizoaffective disorder (bipolar type), PTSD, severe anxiety and i am autistic on top of all of my physical ailments. not only is there the added stigma that gets dragged along with me, but my medication can be quite expensive even after insurance coverage (i’ve tried a lot of the basic ones so now i’m on some weird ones) and it is something that i need to function.

i also have a high needs dog who i prioritize my current income for her food and medication as she has needed a lot of medical care as of recently which i put before my own care.

we have a lot to pay off right now, like owing $4000 to our old apartment after being evicted last year.

again - anything helps. please share or help in any way you’re able to.

much love to you all
