For Medical Expenses and Financial Hardship

We created this fundraiser in hopes to assist a close family member and his family. Rafael Gonzalez is a kind husband, son, brother, and loving humorous father. Rafa, his wife and his children live in the state of Michoacan, Mexico.

At the age of 35 they became aware that his health started taking a physical toll on his body. This lead to the loss of his day-to-day motor skills and caused him to leave his job as he lost full self-dependency and mobility. Immediately his wife became his full-time caretaker as well had full responsibility for their young children at that time.

Sitting in confusion for years of no diagnosis of this life-changing rare illness. Finally, lab work was sent to the U.S. where they were able to obtain a diagnosis for him. In wich was confirmed that this was an inherited disorder.

Rafa suffers from a rare degenerative nerve disease named Charcot-Marie-Tooth. This transformed his life, taking away from him the ability to raise his children and provide for his family as an ordinary father would. Due to these circumstances, Mr. Gonzalez depended on his wife 100% as he is not self-dependent. This family encountered financial hardship in Mexico for the past decade. With the family's consent, we've created this page for any small donations of any kind to assist with medical expenses or donations of medical equipment that could assist his wife with care.

Because of his medical condition and vulnerability, Rafa spends the majority of his time in bed inside the home he's unable to be mobile or transported without discomfort. Despite his situation, he continues to hold onto his faith and keeps his sense of humor alive. If you find it in your heart any donation would help his family. Thank you and blessings to all.
