Medical Expenses Loss wages: Bryan and Jeremiah

Hello, I am a friend of Sandra’s and wanted to help start a GoFundMe for Sandra Brasington and her great grandsons, Jeremiah and Bryan. The boys were born at 33 weeks on January 13th, 2022. Both boys were immediately placed in the NICU. Their first two days they were doing so well but then fell very sick with a unidentified bacterial infection. Blood cultures were drawn on both boys to try and determine the source. Bryan has been the sickest of the two boys. The boys were started on heavy antibiotics while waiting on the cultures to identify exactly what bacteria was invading their little bodies. During this time, both boys went septic. The bacteria was identified as E. Coli. The sepsis caused much damage to Bryan's intestines small and large. To date, Bryan has had 3 surgeries on his intestinal tract removing 12 cm first surgery, 20 cm second surgery and 2.5 cm (1 inch) the third surgery. They have left his abdomen open after each surgery and intestines disconnected each time in hopes that the intestine would improve before the next surgery. Tomorrow, Monday January 24th Bryan goes back in for a fourth surgery with plans on rerouting the flow of things with tubes that will run inside and outside of the body. The doctors are hoping that this will allow for him to heal a bit with hopes the the intestine will eventually get strong enough and healthy enough to reconnect everything. We are looking at a very long time of treatment but have not yet had the care conference with the team of providers and specialists to get an idea of just how long term the treatment plan will be. Jeremiah is still not completely out of the woods but isn't nearly as sick as his brother. He to will be here for a long while as neither of them are feeding yet. The boys are only receiving nourishment via IV fluids at this point. This go fund me would help Sandra with loss of wages as well as any medical needs/care that the boys will be needing and any other expenses that will occur during their treatment. Right now the boys do not have any medical coverage. Sandra’s job has now told her that they are only giving her two weeks off without pay and tho she has been there for 8 years, she does not qualify for FMLA. Sandra has not left the boys bedside except to get a few hours of sleep at the Ronald McDonald House. Sandra has no intentions of leaving the hospital/area until both boys are stable.
