Hello my name is Mary Ann, my Mom was diagnosed with AML back in Jan.2022. She’s been through so much w/her Chemo & Radiation. She is a very strong woman, loving mother, best grandmother, awesome great grandmother and the best caregiver you can find. Unfortunately since being diagnosed she developed other illnesses due to her low immune system. Prior to being hospitalized back in ICU, she had biweekly scheduled visits for blood transfusions. She had IV home antibiotics for (necrotizing Pneumonia in both L & R uppers lungs) which was being managed by my sister to decrease the cost of hospitalization. My sister had to give up her job to be full time caregiver for my mom to give her the best care. I was helping out with their financial needs. My brother was her transport and physical therapy. It was an all around job but we were just giving back because our mom worked so hard to support us when she was still able. The funds will be used to cover any medical expenses not covered by her insurance, unfortunate event when she finally stops fighting. She wishes also to see her sister, she is in no condition to travel so we are currently working on bringing her here while she is still alive. When she finally rest, she wants to go back home to the Philippines to be w/the 2 sons she lost less than 5 yrs ago. She’s been in ICU since June 4th, she went to Afib which required defibrillator to bring her back June 9. We have been constantly reminded that in case her heart stops, she is not a candidate for CPR because of her condition, she will have internal bleeding due to the Pseudoaneurysm which was recently seen during this hospitalization and her Pancytopenia.
