Hi! I am Melissa, a friend and neighbor of Kara's.  As many of you know, Kara is currently going through the heartbreak of divorce.  And on top of that, she discovered a large mass in her right breast. After multiple tests and meeting with multiple doctors and surgeons, it has been decided that she needs to have a partial mastectomy, which will remove the mass and most of her breast due to the fact that her symptoms are presenting as cancerous. Once the mass is removed, it can be thoroughly checked for cancer.

Many of our neighbors and friends have gathered, wondering how we can all help Kara.  With Kara's current situation, and high deductible plan, the financial aspect of all of this has been weighing heavily on her.  We all agreed that starting a gofundme would be the perfect way to lighten the burden of the girl who is always the first one to step in and love those in need.

It took some time to get Kara to agree to let us set this up for her, but due to our relentless begging, she has agreed to let us send it to her close friends and family. So from one friend to another, thank you for loving and supporting Kara.
